Only 7 days and we begin a new school year, although it is exciting and a new adventure for us, it is also scary in some ways for Mom, We are taking a whole new approach this year and its going to be a time of getting to know new things for Mom, Zach and Whit..this journey is a continue learning process for all of us.
Tonight my husband and I went to a workshop for some of the curriculum we will be using, it was very informative and a little "wonder if I can do this" attitude from me-I know with God's strength I can, it was just a lot to take in-then hubby and I headed to Walmart and got a few school things and a few things that will help Mom.
The rest of the week I will use to plan and organize and get the kids Portfolio's ready but mostly plan and hopefully Zachary's curriculum will be here tomorrow and I can start planning week 1 for Him.
That's about it for now-Looking forward to a new adventure this year.

I Am Thankful -30 Day Challenge
Thank You to my friend Sherry Becker-Snodderly-for encouraging me to do this challenge.
So I decided to do a 30 days of thankfulness challenge. Post what you are thankful for for 30 days in a row. It's amazing how it can change your attitude towards your life. Anyone with me? If so start today! as I did
Day 1
I am so thankful to God for loving me and I am so thankful for his loving kindness towards me, His mercy and His grace that He has given to me.

Curriculum Ordered
We have been busy around the house getting ready for school, got our testing done and curriculum ordered, Whitney's curriculum arrived and now we are just waiting on Zachary's to arrive. Today, I got our book shelf cleaned off and organized for school books.
We are going to have a very busy year but we are looking forward to this new year..
One thing our family is doing this year is being a host family and opened our home to a young lady attending the bible college at our church~she is very sweet and from California-she will be staying with us for 18 weeks.
A very good learning experience for the kids and our family.

A new beginning
It's been a while since I have blogged for awhile about our schooling, this next year we will be on a new adventure, we are going to be using a new program called Idaho Idea-so far everything sounds great and I hope to blog a lot about what we will be doing and lots of pictures.
Our plan right now is to talk with our teacher first and get a plan of action for what curriculum to choose.
Today we went to our first informational meeting and I am so excited about everything.
I found out that the kids will be able to go to the resource center and do labs once a semester and get all their labs in with the other kids and I also found out that I can take Zachary in to get some tutoring so that will be very helpful. I am really looking forward to this.

Why I named my Blog
My new blog name is kind of interesting but, I decided to name it this because I absolutely love this verse..
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
I love this because it is saying that if we trust in God with all our heart and not go about things in our own understanding and we acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths-It is very simple Trust Him and Lean on Him and He will show us the way...
I thought this was perfect for my new blog name..

Welcome to our Homeschooling Blog
Hi,
Thank You for stopping by Our Homeschooling Blog~This year we are taking a new direction on what we will be using for the year, I have been looking for a curriculum that I think my son will like and after talking with a dear friend of mine, I think we have found it.
This year we will be using the Weaver Curriculum, I have decided to create this blog so that we can keep all our family & friends up to date on what we are learning; We will continue to use School of Tomorrow for our Math & English studies..
I am really excited about the Weaver Curriculum because it's foundation is the Word of God and it weaves the word through Bible, Social Studies, Science, Geography and History, Language Arts, Health, and Art.
I am really looking forward to this new adventure in our lives and can't wait to share with you with what we are learning.
